Biography

Louisa Stabenow is an American/New Zealand voice actor and actress. From audio dramas to video games, she thrives behind the microphone. Several of her current roles include “Emma”, “Queen Maria”, and “The Narrator“ in the audio drama The Soulmate Quest. When not involved in voice acting, she enjoys taking her love of performance to the stage. She has performed in a variety of on-stage roles such as “Sophie” in Artist Descending A Staircase, “Ginny” in Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche, and “Peter Pan” in Peter Pan the Pantomime. She is known for bringing “emotional depth and colour” to her roles and prides herself on being the bridge that connects audiences to characters and worlds.

Louisa grew up in a small county in the Midwest. With her American father and Kiwi mum, she had the benefit of experiencing the diverse cultural upbringing her family provided. From her dad’s love of DND to her mum’s karaoke car rides, her foundation and love of all things creative grew from their encouragement and support.

After high school, she moved to New Zealand to begin her university journey surrounded by her Kiwi whānau. After bouncing from pre-med to anatomy, to music production, she finally found her love in acting and is set to complete her BPA in December of 2025 at the University of Otago.

When not behind the microphone or on a stage, you can find Louisa playing video games, watching shows (Castlevania and Mass Effect are current favourites) and relaxing with her two cats who graciously share their home with her, Smudge and Sparky.
